After a rough night of not sleeping and a little nap this afternoon, I feel a little better. Steve gave me back rub (it was his idea!) this morning, and then we got up and made breakfast. We usually don’t have big breakfasts, but on the weekends we make an exception. We had Half Bisquick/ Half Buckwheat waffles (I don’t think that my stomach would be able to handle any more fiber than that given the fact that I have been in the bathroom all day) with real maple syrup, yogurt olive oil spread, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries with a side of bacon. It was amazing!! There is just something about taking your time on a Sunday morning and cooking with your significant other…
I was supposed to be resting for the day, but the house really needed to be cleaned. So, I’ve been working on computer stuff with sweeping and mopping in between. Our house is way too big for us, and I’ve got over 2,000 square feet to sweep and mop once every 1-2 weeks. I had pollen all over the house that I’m sure wasn’t helping with my allergies. The floors are at least clean for now.
We had left over chicken soup for lunch, and then I made this platter for the Hubby and I for a snack later—Hummus drizzled with fresh olive oil (direct from Italy from one of my friends) and dried rosemary, wheat thins (I know that I should probably be eating the Kashi equivalents, but nothing really compares to a wheat thin!), baby carrots, and some grapes. I love anything dipped in hummus!
I don’t know what we are going to have for dinner, but we are going to watch a movie tonight. I kinda felt like a lazy bum today! I usually go on my long runs on Sundays. I had a 10 miler scheduled, but I know my body needs this time to heal itself. I’m hoping to run a little bit tomorrow, ride my bike into base for a weight lifting session, and then go to yoga later that night! I feel so restless right now! I’m getting excited just thinking about it! Have a great night!!
