Today has been a whirlwind!! The Bazaar is crazy!!!! I have been up since 6am, and I just got home from running around all day! My feet are killing me! It is so funny because I can run 13 miles and my feet don’t hurt. I probably walked about 4 or 5 miles today around the hangars and tent, and they hurt. I might be able to convince my hubby to give me a foot massage later. Wish me luck!
For the Bazaar, I am in charge of Public and Volunteer Raffle. Over a 120 vendors participate in the bazaar, and they all donate prizes to either the public raffle or volunteer raffle depending on the value of the item. We have hundreds of volunteers that work with us every year, and they are entered into winning something from the volunteer stash of items collected. The public will buy tickets to have the chance to win some nice prizes like tapestries, wine racks, and nice Italian/Polish pottery. All of the money earned gets donated back into the community. The bazaar opens tomorrow, and I am psyched! I will be there from 8am probably ‘till 8:30 or 9pm though. The Bazaar continues all the way into the weekend through Sunday night. I love giving back to the community, and this is a great way to do it!
No yoga, weight lifting, or running today. I had too much work that needed to be done before tomorrow for the Bazaar. I did ride my bike into base though. My panniers were heavy this morning with all of my toiletries to get ready, two changes of clothes (one to wear for Bazaar stuff and yoga clothes), and misc Bazaar paperwork. I almost fell over a few times trying to turn corners with that much weight. I need to learn to pack lighter, but I deemed all of that stuff necessary! Kelly, my Bazaar Raffle co-chair, was nice enough to drive me home tonight because I was exhausted. It feels so good to just sit down. The only time I sat down today was for about 7 min for lunch.
I want to get in my 5-miler for tomorrow and weight lift a little before I have to be at the Bazaar at 8, but we shall see!
Now, for the part that you all have been waiting for, the French Chocolate giveaway. I wanted to give it away to one of my readers in appreciation for reading my blog! I just started this blog about 3 and a half weeks ago, and I have had so much support from the blogging community that I wanted to say, “Thanks!!” It is all dark chocolate ranging from 64% to 70% cocoa, and about a two months supply (200 grams per a bar, 5 bars)! And yes, it is from France, since I live about 45 min away! To enter, you just had to leave a comment on last Wednesday’s post telling me your favorite place to travel to and what you like doing there. And the randomly picked winner is:
haha, I thought I would make you scroll a little for it…
Okay, sorry I couldn’t help myself! hehe (I’m feeling a little delirious from exhaustion) 😉
Tay !!!! She said, “I love traveling to my cabin because it’s such a relaxing breather to lay on the lake and get away from it all!”
Tay, I like getting away to a cabin or tent by a lake too! Email me your address, and I will get this chocolate out to you ASAP!
I wanted to share my awesome dinner with you for tonight:
Baked Salmon, couscous, and salad. Awesome…
Are any of you lucky enough to have a significant other who likes rubbing your feet or is my husband an anomaly?
