This morning, I had a wonderful bowl of oatmeal with flaxseed, 1/2 banana, and pb. It was wonderful! I’m not really an oatmeal person, but the past few weeks, I’ve just been craving it! Maybe, I’m becoming one?
I did not get that much sleep last night because of this!
My arm itched ALL night long even after I took allergy medication. It seems that I am having a mild allergic reaction to wasps. I got stung two days ago, and I am still having problems. Benadryl is NOT working. I know this isn’t life threatening. I think that I would already be dead at this point if it was that bad. Right now, my very swollen itchy arm is just an annoyance. I swear that I have much more muscle tone than that in my arms!! It’s all the fluid that is built up in my arm! I’ve been rubbing Neosporin on it, and it seems to be helping just a little with the itching. Honestly, I’m really not surprised that something like this is happening to me. If you ask anyone in my family, they will tell you, “Only Nicole!” Yes, yes, I just have bad luck when it comes to wildlife, walking with obstacles in the way (like walls, haha), etc. 🙂
Other than not trying to scratch my arm off, I’ve had a really productive day with school. I’m just about caught up on my lectures and reading. Tonight, I will be studying for my primary group fitness certification. It is a much thicker book than I imagined for the class. Who would have thought that to teach an aerobics class, one needs to read a 600 page book on it? I am attending a group fitness certification and a spin instructor certification workshop in two weeks up in Spangdahlem for a weekend. It is about an hour away from Ramstein. I’m really excited for my certification so I can start teaching spin class when I get back from the states the end of October! I LOVE spin class, and I really think it is a great alternative for those people who don’t like running. I also think that it is a great class to take if the weather is nasty, and you can’t get out on your bike.
Fitnesswise, I had a great 6 mile run today. It felt great to move my legs after a two day hiatus, and it helped break my day up from studying ALL day long! At least I know that I won’t die this weekend during my half marathon on base!

Has anyone else had any bad allergic reactions to bee/wasp stings?
