Chillin’ on New Year’s Eve

Chillin’ on New Year’s Eve

Well, the two things that we had planned for today fell through.  We were supposed to go on a group ride, but it ended up being a run that everyone confused with a ride.  I don’t know how that could have happened but it did.  We decided not to go since Steve’s knee did not fair well running even 2 miles.  I don’t think the knee could have handled six running.  As for the party for tonight, the friend forgot that she had told a bunch of people about the party while she had been drinking, and I’m a little peeved from this since she does stuff like that all the time.  Grrrrr…

SO!  We decided to just chill at home tonight.  We rented some more movies, opened up a bottle of rose wine from France and made nachos.  We hadn’t had nachos in over two years.  It is about time!

My lovely apparel for tonight- a hoodie and jeans with no makeup.  Sexy, huh?  Well, my husband thinks so, or that is what he tells me at least.  Umm, do you think that my wine glass is big enough?  DSC05363

For dessert, we had some carrot raisin bread that I made last night from SoCal SustenanceDSC05332 I didn’t have any oranges, so I subbed a grapefruit for it.  I also didn’t add any nuts.  The bread still came out moist and sweet!  It is really good!  DSC05405 (Please forgive me for this horrible pic.  I’ve taken over 40 pics of this one piece of bread, and all of them have come out blurry.  I think my camera is having technical difficulties!)

We are headed outside to watch some fireworks on our front porch before the new year.  This is the only day that fireworks are legal in Germany!

Happy New Years!!!!  Be safe!  See you next year!
