I have my first triathlon of the season tomorrow. It is a 1200 meter swim, 30 mile bike, and ~8.5 mile run.
I was very close to bailing on this thing due to some drama this morning. I was crying because of it, and my husband looked me in the eyes and said, “You are doing this. You are not quitting just because of other people’s problems!”.
I said, “Okay” as he wiped the tears away. Gah, I love my husband.
So, here is almost all of my stuff laid out for tomorrow:
Swim: goggles, wetsuit, small towel for feet (the race is going to supply the cap)
Bike: helmet, gloves, shoes, Larabar, Vega electrolyte drink mix, socks
Run: Same biking shirt w/shorts, shoes, cap, sunglasses, (need to find my clif bloks. They may have been packed. ;( )
I have borrowed a bike, and I worked on changing out my cleats to match the pedals on the bike.
I’ve had a LONG day, and I’m going to try to go to sleep now. Race starts at 11am. Bring it on.
