We have wild blackberries all over the place (I’m just across the state from you) and they’ve disappointed us every time we’ve picked them no matter where we found them. Unless the kids are interested in eating some, we don’t even bother with the wild ones any more. Were the ones you ate very flavorful?

Oh yes! It was actually the first time that I had ever picked wild blackberries. Maybe they are better in Idaho? I have no idea.
