Getting ready for the St. Paddy’s Day 5-Miler

Getting ready for the St. Paddy’s Day 5-Miler

I have my first race of the season tomorrow. I’m a little nervous which is funny considering it is only 5 miles, and I did an Half Ironman last year.

My goal is to average an 8 min/mile pace. I will be ecstatic if I can average a 7:24 or below min/mile pace which would mean that I qualify to start with my running group for Bloomsday (a huge race over here in Spokane). If not, no biggy. I start in a corral 1 or 2 rows back from them if I don’t qualify. The course is supposed to be mostly flat tomorrow.  I can only give what I have!!  We shall see. I don’t want to think about it anymore because I’m just getting myself worked up!!!

Thanks for all your votes for my next swimsuit!! As you would have guessed, #1 won out. However, swimoutlet.com nor tyr.com did not have my size. If you are a size 8-12, they have your size!! Order it, so I can live through you. I think that suit is super cute. It is probably just as well, because apparently I didn’t read more about the suit. It has padding in the breast area. Some of you may argue that I need some padding (ha!), but I really don’t like my suits to have padding in them. I’m fine with my small breasts. Besides, I don’t care what my boobs look like when I go to the pool to swim as a workout as long as they have some support.

None of the suits except for #4 came in my size. I went with the pink version:

And I also got this suit:

Thanks for all your help on voting. A lot of you had some great tips on what you look for in a good suit (racerback v.s. regular, etc.)

Gotta get some sleep for the race tomorrow!! Good luck to any of you with races tomorrow too!!
