This is the second part of my recap of Fitbloggin, a conference for fitness bloggers. I learned so much over the past weekend, not to mention, gained some new friends! The roomies and I started the morning off with a pilates strength training class hybrid taught by Andrea Metcalf of Naked Fitness. She is in her 40’s, and she looks absolutely amazing, by the way. And she is really down to earth. After breakfast, we decided to ditch the first session (which I’m kinda regretting now since I’ve heard nothing but good things about it) and walk around.
Crazy bloggers!! One of the many things that I like about this conference was the fact that all different types of people showed up. You don’t have to be ripped (which I am NOT!) to go to this thing!!
After lunch, I went to No Meat Athlete‘s session, SEO for Fitness Bloggers. Very interesting stuff, and Matt always does a great job of explaining things in a way that everyone can understand them. I’m not going to go into detail here, but you should check out the Fitbloggin site for notes on the session.
After the Blogger Responsibility session that followed, we took ANOTHER walk. I wasn’t complaining though. I don’t like sitting down for too long. It was HOT out though. After living climates where the high barely reaches 70 in the summer, anything above 80 is hot.
Bloggers are taking over the streets. Scary though, eh?
These ladies were great!! I took this pic with Anne’s camera.
After our 2nd walk of the day we said our goodbyes to Anne, and it was off to dinner to meet up with some other bloggers and one of my bridesmaids. She is not a blogger. Therefore she is not used to being constantly prepared for photographs…hence the mouth wide open shot while everyone else was smiling. haha. I’m sure she is going to kill me for putting this up. 😉
Then dancing!! I don’t get out very much these days, but it was fun to let loose and dance the night away even if I couldn’t drink!! It was club soda and cranberry juice or water the whole night, don’t worry!!
And that little face peeking out is Megan. I forgot she had moved recently to the area. 😉
This week has insane trying to catch up on everything after being gone for 4 days, plus the hubs and I are in Seattle this weekend with family. I’m healing okay from the past two weeks, but the medication has been killing me (nausea, dizziness, fatigue, severe stomach cramping)!! Thankfully, I’m now done with the meds, and I can start bumping up my workouts next week. Rest has been my number one priority since getting back from Baltimore.
Tata, and I’ve got a review for Phenom, GNC’s version of coconut water coming up soon!!
