Another Degree motionSense Giveaway!!! - Geek Turned Athlete

Another Degree motionSense Giveaway!!!

About a month has passed since my first post regarding Degree’s Get Into the Move Challenge and their new deodorant/anti-perspirant with motionSense technology. I’ve been trying to wear an antiperspirant when I know I’m going to be out in the field (I do environmental work in gutted out buildings where there is NO air conditioning or outside) and I’m happy to report that while my co-workers are sweating like crazy, I am pit-stain free! That is no ordinary feat considering I sweat like a beast normally.

Click below if you want the chance to win another $100 VISA Giftcard!!

This Degree  with motionSENSE is the only antiperspirant that is activated by motion first, not moisture, so women (Yay!) can stay ahead of perspiration. I never know where I’ll be for my job for the day, so it is nice to know how my arm pits will do in any situation. Plus, in my opinion, it is really unprofessional to show up to a site with sweat stains. I know it is natural, but it just does NOT look good, especially if you are supposed to be running the show.

Okay, lets talk about this “Get into the Move” thing. It is really easy to record your movement. I wish it was a little bit more specific like the Daily Mile, but I’m a really analytical person and that may not bother you. What makes this better than the Daily Mile? You can win prizes like: bikes, shopping sprees, retreats, snowboards, etc.

Like I said, EASY!!  It is also a good way to motivate you to move, right? Especially if you have the chance of winning instant prizes, weekly prizes, and a grand prize. At least I would like to think so.

The last hard work out I had was yesterday. I try to make them all hard work outs or else they don’t really help.

The last hard workout was yesterday. It’s been so hot an humid that my workout clothes are drenched by the end of the workout!

The last hard workout I had was a few years ago, when I broke my foot kickboxing – I was WAY into it. LOL

I’m not usually able to get into a hard workout before my asthma kicks in. The best I can do is a nice long walk on my treadmill {where the pollen doesn’t affect me).

Well, the last time I was so sweaty was not because of working out technically…. just from mowing the lawn and being out in the sun–the worst time from this whole summer was about a couple weeks ago.

My idea of getting some good exercise is to go out in our backyard pool…I always feel like I get a good workout–minus the sweat.

I don’t really have an embarassing sweat stain type story, but there were many of us sweating too much at work this summer. A large section of the college I work at was having its AC replaced this summer, so it was often 90+ degrees in some parts of the building. Thank goodness my part of the building was ok, but everyone was sweaty whenever they were in one of the affected parts of the building.

The last really hard, grueling workout I had was when I biked 100 miles with my cousin. We were on mountain bikes on a rail trail, not road bikes on a smooth surface. I felt that one from head-to-toe, haha.

I did some major hiking recently – was definitely sweating that day!
