First off, thank you for all your kind comments regarding Ironman Arizona. It was a crazy good day, and I’m still in awe that I actually did something like that!
A few weeks ago, Jovial Foods sent me some of their gluten free pasta to review. I was a little skeptical because I have been gluten free for about two years now, and I really haven’t found a pasta that tasted like I remembered REAL pasta to taste like. My poor husband has been eating GF pasta just as long as I have, and he often complains that he misses the real thing just as much as I do. I’d like to add here that my husband is very supportive of my gluten free lifestyle because I’m not having as many digestive issues anymore. A happy wife = a happy life as far as he is concerned.
So, we were pleasantly surprised with this brand. It did not taste gluten free at all.

I was scared to take the first bite because I really don’t like writing bad reviews (but I will if I have too!), but it was really really good. The noodles were firm and held their shape just like REAL pasta! Usually, if you overcook your gluten free pasta even by a minute, it falls apart and turns into mush.

My husband likes to make me laugh during picture time, and food always goes everywhere. I apologize. haha
As for my husband’s verdict? He said that it didn’t taste gluten free either, and that is a good thing!! He is such a critic. This is his favorite gluten free pasta, and he didn’t complain that we were eating gluten free pasta when I tried the other Jovial pasta shapes. From a gluten eater, that is a huge compliment.

I also want to mention that this pasta won the Cooking Light Best GF Pasta Overall Award. I know there aren’t a lot of options when it comes to gluten free pasta, but this is REALLY a good one. I plan on purchasing Jovial pasta from now on instead of my old mushy stuff especially if I have to inflict my GF lifestyle on someone who doesn’t really need to eat gluten free.

never tried Jovial, glad to know to it is a good one
Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to try to find it back home (Canada). Hubby and I are both gluten intolerant. As for GF products that I love, can’t say enough good things about Larabar (sports bar) which you probably already know of but also Elevate Me bars which are Canadian and super yummy. I love the chocolate coconut cluster: http://www.prosnack.com/
Thanks again!
I have never heard of the Elevate Me bars. Thank you for the suggestion!
