I tend to get just a tad high strung when I’m stressed. My husband would say that is an understatement, but I will go on. I want to retreat to my house and not do anything fun when I’m stressed. That is something you SHOULDN’T DO when you are stressed though.
This weekend my husband and I along with a bunch of our friends rented a party bus to drive us up to Fredericksburg, TX to attend Oktoberfest. We had a blast. I was a little stressed out because I really needed to work on homework, workout, clean my house, etc. BUT you know what? It was worth it. I got in some quality time with my husband, laughed a lot, and we even got some dancing in!
At events like this, you usually only see older people dancing, and all the younger people sitting because they don’t want to make a fool of themselves trying to two step. I always want to dance whether I know the moves or not so I begged the hubs to dance with me. He doesn’t dance. He doesn’t like going to night clubs and dancing. He is more of a dive bar/brewery type of guy. I’m pretty persuasive though, so we danced. Did we know what we were doing? Hell no!! Did we have fun? Hell YES!
After that, the hubs entered a contest put on by Samuel Adams for who could hold 1 liter of beer the longest.
He didn’t win, but I think we were both relieved he didn’t get beat by a girl! haha.
I guess the point of this post is that sometimes we just need to chill out and laugh instead of being so serious all the time! Everything will always work out in the end.
It’s back to homework, the house is still a mess, and I still need to workout, but I’m starting this week with a smile because of this weekend!
