Training

Here is my training journal for the next 2012 racing season!  My “A” race is Ironman Lake Placid, and I have still yet to add more races in.

Very different from last season, I’m using a coach! Ack!  I’m actually going to have to trust someone to get me where I need to go.  This should be interesting!

For those of you training for a running race, and you don’t want to shell out the money for a coach, I totally recommend Runner’s World Smart Coach.  It is under the Tools tab on their website.  This is the best FREE running program that I have come across so far if you don’t like using a heart rate monitor because it is so individualized.  It helped me go sub-4 hours for my first marathon. ;)

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that I have been working out for a while, and my body can handle this workload.  Please don’t try to do my workouts with me unless you KNOW that you can handle them!

Hey! I’m a geek gone fitness myself. Nice blog you have here. I got ya on twitter.

I checked out your schedule. Do you spin on a trainer or on a machine?

on a machine for now. I’m hoping to be able to afford a trainer soon! I teach spin as well so I’m in there anyway. ;) Thanks for stopping by.

Check out the Bell trainer. It’s like $80 and works pretty good for a cheap one. Got good reviews too.

Well now I’m really disappointed that I decided against doing IMAZ 2011. Excellent choice! Good luck, but who needs luck when you’re willing to work hard for your dreams?

Thank you, Tea. I’m disappointed you aren’t doing it as well! Thank you for making me feel good about the fact that my body is so sore from the wimpy part of my program already.
